A phytotherapeutic product containing silymarin and MOS (mannan-oligosaccharides). Silymarin is obtained from the plant Silybum marianum (milk thistle) and works through various mechanisms:
the production of T- and B-lymphocytes and macrophages and stimulate the immune system. These are resistant starches that can easily enter the large intestine in an intact form, where they are readily fermented by „good“ bacteria such as Bifidobacterium. Other microorganisms, such as eubacteria or clostridia, are not able to make use of the oligosaccharides. This preferential fermentation pattern therefore offers many benefits in supporting beneficial intestinal bacteria!

How to use Epato:
1 tablet per every 20 kg of body weight in dogs and 1 segment on the applicator once a day for 30 days.
- it stimulates the production of SOD, an enzyme that protects the lipids of the cell and ribosomal membranes
- it prevents the disorders that normally occur in the case of liver degeneration caused by oxidative stress
- it increases the removal/distribution of reduced and total glutathione, thereby improving the detoxifying capacity of the liver
- it increases the synthesis of ribosomal RNA and in this way increases and improves the regeneration of the liver
- it normalises lipidaemia
- it inhibits COX-2, an enzyme that transforms arachidonic acid into prostaglandin (PGE 2), and reduces inflammation
