RenalVet is the only product in the world with phosphorus in chelate form that also contains active vitamin D. When given with food, it helps reduce phosphorus absorption in animals with chronic kidney failure, which may slow the progression of the disease. Chelated phosphorus is recommended by the International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) for animals as early as the initial stages of organ failure.
The product's main ingredient is calcium carbonate, which binds phosphorus in the digestive tract. Its action is supported by the addition of chitosan with strong absorption properties. RenalVet also contains vitamin D, the addition of which makes up for any deficiencies in the body caused by impaired kidney function in cases of kidney failure.
