Effipro Duo 50 mg/60 mg is a solution for application onto the skin – a spot-on for cats against fleas and ticks.
Each 0.5 ml pipette contains:
Active substances: Fipronilum 50mg, Pyriproxyfenum 60mg
Other substances: Butylhydroxyanisole (E 320) 0.1 mg, Butylhydroxytoluene (E 321) 0.05 mg
Pyriproxyfen is an insect growth regulator (IGR) from the group of substances known as juvenile hormone analogues. Contact with the molecule prevents the emergence of adults by blocking the development of eggs (ovicidal effect), larvae and pupae (larvicidal effect), which are subsequently eliminated.
The combination of fipronil and pyriproxyfen provides an insecticidal and acaricidal effect against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and ticks (Rhipicephalus turanicus, Ixodes ricinus) and, in addition, prevents the development of adult fleas from eggs.
This combination provides comprehensive protection against flea infestation, which can be used against flea infestation alone or in conjunction with ticks.
