Frontline Spot On for Cats - 3x0.5ml

Frontline Spot-On cat is a highly effective product for the treatment and prevention of infestation of cats by fleas, ticks and lice.

One pipette is effective for up to 5 weeks against fleas and up to 4 weeks against ticks

The pack, which contains 3 pipettes, is effective for up to 15 weeks against fleas and up to 12 weeks against ticks.

Indications
Treatment and prevention of infestation by fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and ticks (Rhipicephalus spp., Ixodes spp.) in cats.
Treatment and control of flea bite allergy (FAD) in cats.
Prevention and treatment of lice infestation in cats.

Contraindications
Due to the absence of data on the use of the product, do not apply to kittens younger than 8 weeks and/or weighing less than 1 kg.
Do not apply to sick animals (general illness, fever) or to convalescing animals.
Do not use in rabbits due to the risk of adverse reactions up to death.

Adverse effects
If licked off, short-term hypersalivation may occur due to the nature of the vehicle.
Among very rare adverse effects, transient skin reactions at the application site (skin flaking and hair loss, itching, skin redness) and general itching or hair loss have been recorded after use.
Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperaesthesia, depression, nervousness) and vomiting have been recorded.
Avoid overdosing.

Fipronil 50.00 mg
Butylhydroxyanisolum 0.10 mg
Butylhydroxytoluenum 0.05 mg
Ethanolum 0.05 ml
Vehiculum q.s. 0.5 ml

Dosage and method of administration
Due to the absence of studies on the safety of the product, the minimum interval between applications is 4 weeks.

Route of administration : external application to the skin.

Dosage: Apply 1 pipette containing 0.5 ml to the skin between the shoulder blades. Hold the pipette upright and snap off the tip. Part the animal's fur between the shoulder blades so that the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze several times so that the contents empty directly onto the skin, ideally in two places.
One dose provides protection against flea infestation for up to 5 weeks. The product is effective for 3 to 4 weeks against ticks.
Overdose: Overdosing with the product causes matting of the fur at the application site. However, if it occurs, it disappears within 24 hours of application.

Caution
It is important to ensure that the product is applied to a place from which the animal cannot lick it off, and to prevent animals from licking each other after application. Bathing cats within two days of application of the product is not recommended.
Individual ticks may attach. Therefore the transmission of infectious diseases cannot be entirely ruled out if conditions are unfavourable.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Frontline Spot On Cat can be applied to breeding, pregnant and lactating cats.

Warning
Avoid contact of the product with the animal's eyes.
Special precautions for persons administering the medicinal product to animals.
This product may cause irritation of the mucous membranes and eyes. Therefore avoid contact of this product with the mouth and eyes. Animals or persons known to be hypersensitive to insecticides or alcohol should not come into contact with Frontline Spot On. Take care to avoid finger contact with the contents. If this occurs, wash your hands with soap and water. In case of accidental eye contact, carefully rinse the eye with clean water.
Wash your hands after use. Do not handle treated animals and prevent children from playing with them until the applied product has dried. It is therefore recommended not to treat animals during the day, but early in the evening, and not to allow freshly treated animals to sleep with their owners, especially children. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application of the product.

Do not store above 30°C.
