Fipronilum 50.00 mg
(S)-Methoprenum 60.00 mg

Excipients
Butylated hydroxyanisole (E 320) 0.10 mg
Butylated hydroxytoluene (E 321) 0.05 mg

Target species
Cats and ferrets.

Indications, specifying the target species

In cats:

• For use against flea infestation, either fleas alone or fleas together with ticks and/or biting lice.
• Treatment of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal effect against infestation by adult fleas lasts for 4 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by suppressing the development of eggs (ovicidal effect), larvae and their developmental stages (larvicidal effect) developed from eggs laid by adult fleas for 6 weeks after application.
• Treatment of tick infestation (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has a persistent acaricidal effect for up to 2 weeks against ticks (documented by the results of experimental studies)
• Treatment of biting lice infestation (Felicola subrostratus).

The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy in managing flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).

In ferrets:

• For use against flea infestation, either fleas alone or fleas together with ticks.
• Treatment of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal effect against new infestation by adult fleas lasts for 4 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by suppressing the development of eggs (ovicidal effect), larvae and their developmental stages (larvicidal effect) developed from eggs laid by adult fleas.
• Treatment of tick infestation (Ixodes ricinus). The product has a persistent acaricidal effect for 4 weeks against ticks (documented by the results of experimental studies).

Contraindications

• Due to the absence of adequate data, the product must not be used in kittens younger than 8 weeks and/or in cats weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use the product in ferrets younger than 6 months.
• Do not use in sick animals (i.e. systemic diseases, fever) or convalescing animals.
• Do not use in rabbits due to the risk of adverse effects up to death.
• Due to the absence of studies, use of the product in non-target species is not recommended.

Withdrawal period
Not intended for food-producing animals.
