The veterinary product Fypryst Combo spot-on Cats and Ferrets is intended for the treatment and prevention of flea, tick and lice infestation in cats and ferrets. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the management of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), where this has previously been diagnosed by a veterinarian.
Treatment of flea infestation - The insecticidal effect against new infestation with adult fleas (Ctenocephalides spp) lasts for 4 weeks in both cats and ferrets. Prevention of flea reproduction, by suppressing the development of eggs (ovicidal effect), larvae and their developmental stages (larvicidal effect) hatched from eggs laid by adult fleas, persists for 6 weeks after application.
Treatment of tick infestation - The product has a persistent acaricidal effect against ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for up to 2 weeks in cats and up to 4 weeks in ferrets.
How to use it?
Part the animal's coat (cat, ferret) at the lower part of the neck and in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the single-dose pipette against the skin and squeeze the pipette several times so that its entire contents are emptied onto the skin at a single spot. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the product. Allow an interval of at least 4 weeks between individual applications. Bathing the animal within two days of applying the product is not recommended.
Do not apply the product to kittens younger than 8 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 1 kg, or to ferrets younger than 6 months of age. Do not apply the product to sick animals (e.g. fever, systemic disease) or animals recovering from illness.
The product may be used in pregnant cats; caution should be exercised when a treated cat is in contact with kittens younger than 8 weeks. In ferrets, the product should only be used during pregnancy and in contact with young younger than 6 months where necessary.

What does it contain?
One pipette (0.5 ml) contains 50 mg fipronil, 60 mg S-methoprene, and the following excipients: butylhydroxyanisole (E320) 0.1 mg, butylhydroxytoluene (E321) 0.05 mg).
