Barny's Colostrum with Beta-Glucans contains the first maternal milk from the highest-quality organic cattle farms. Standardised to a 30% content of IgG immunoglobulins of the total capsule content.

Colostrum, or first milk, is a fluid secreted by the mother's mammary gland within 48 hours of giving birth. It is a unique source of many components needed by the newborn in the first critical days after birth. However, what makes colostrum such a biologically valuable substance are its immune and growth factor components. Over 37 different immune factors of bovine colostrum are known, including: immunoglobulins, as well as lactoferrin, cytokines and lymphokines, lysozyme, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides and proline-rich polypeptides.

The most important component of colostrum is immunoglobulins. Bovine - cow's - colostrum contains many times more IgG immunoglobulin than human colostrum. Barny's Colostrum with Beta-Glucans is enriched with highly purified, concentrated beta-glucans and vitamin C, selenium and zinc to support normal immune system function.

Vitamin C in the form of NUTRA-C™, a non-acidic branded form of vitamin C containing its metabolites. It is gentle on the stomach, so it is suitable even for sensitive individuals. It is a highly bioavailable form and a powerful antioxidant, characterised by rapid absorption, better retention in the body, lower urinary loss and an absence of digestive problems after consumption.

Vitamin C contributes to:

• normal energy metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue,
• the normal function of the immune system,
• the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

The predominant organic form of selenium is L-selenomethionine, a bioactive form bound to inactivated selenium-enriched Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. Selenium is a trace element and, as an essential cofactor of selenoproteins, is necessary for the activity of numerous enzymes. It is also an important element for the proper release of thyroid hormones.

We recommend taking selenium for:

• the protection of cells from oxidative stress,
• the normal function of the immune system.

Zinc contributes to normal carbohydrate, macronutrient and fatty acid metabolism, and also helps maintain healthy bones, hair, nails and skin. Zinc, together with vitamin C, affects the skin barrier and is essential for cell division and reproduction. Zinc influences enzymatic processes and contributes to the formation of certain proteins involved in immunological reactions. Organically bound zinc in the form of gluconate is characterised by much higher bioavailability in the body and is more easily digestible.

The product is further enriched with patented bioactive Yestimun® brand beta-glucans containing a minimum of 80% natural yeast polysaccharides.

Beta-glucans are complex, high-molecular-weight polysaccharides found in the cell walls of many yeasts and cereals. Beta-glucans are natural substances found in fungi, yeasts and cereals. Purity is decisive for their effect, since efficacy increases with purity. The purity of the Yestimun® beta-glucans used is a minimum of 80% (1,3)-(1,6)-β-D-glucans from Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast.

By combining active substances such as vitamins, minerals in bioactive form and beta-glucans, the effect of strengthening and maintaining health is multiplied.

The Colostrum with Beta-Glucans dietary supplement, enriched with vitamin C, selenium and zinc, supports the body's natural defences, especially during more demanding periods of the year - spring and autumn - when there are greater demands on the proper functioning of the immune system.

Recommended daily dosage: Children from 3 years of age, 1 capsule daily; from 6 years, 2 capsules daily. Adults, 3-4 capsules daily, ideally on an empty stomach. If necessary, the capsule contents can be emptied out and given mixed into, for example, a spoonful of live yoghurt.
